This year, a friend at church challenged me to read 1/2 a chapter of the Bible a day. I’ve always been an “all or nothing” participant and have struggled with wanting to do it all…and then not following through because I can’t keep up with the amount of reading I committed to. I’ve found reading a small amount-maybe even a few verses-is manageable and sustainable and LIFE GIVING. Your teaching today reinforces this for me. For those of you thinking about this…please give “starting small” a try! It adds up! No amount is too small for the Lord to use it in your life! I’m learning to crave reading scripture…this is a new desire and I’m so thankful for it!
Thank you for your insights. Wow, did it hit home. Yes, I am one of those who don't read the bible regularly, and the same people who say it's too hard to do the best thing for their health also sit under the belief that reading God's word is too hard to understand...this article was very enlightening to me. Even though the struggle in reading and understanding is real, what I've lacked is not realizing I can ask God to show me his word and guide me through it to help me understand it. And I love the three questions to ask. This has been a tremendous help because I didn't know how to start, and it helped me get unstuck. Blessings...I love how God led me to you and this ministry. It's already been so beneficial to me. I'm loving these newsletters....
Oh Kari. Be still my heart. We found one another. God knows the right time. I am convinced He’s a lot easier to know and love than the world or our flesh makes him out to be. Let’s keep enjoying him together until our bodies overflow with delight.
Thank you Alisa for the deep insight! I am part of the 9% working in the Word of God while working out everyday. THIS is it—“When we know God loves us, we live loved, and hard things don't seem so hard. When we read God's word, we feed the Holy Spirit that lives in our bodies with the milk and the meat of God's word, filled with Truth and Love. When we are powered by the Holy Spirit doing hard things becomes a privilege, not a problem.” I am loved to life! He carries me through all the difficulties! Need daily reminders of how much I am loved 🥰! Thanks again for these newsletters!
YES-This is on my heart (and my sister's in Christ's heart, too) We are encouranging our ladies to get into the WORD-Know our loving Father PERSONALLY!
I'm so blessed to be in relationship with Jesus. In 2002, I was baptized as an adult. I started getting up early to meet with Jesus. Today, I still wake up with an eagerness to meet with HIM! WOW-I'm so excited to encorage others! Thank you for all you do!
I heard about Rev Wellness while reading, a book on time management.

Less is more and little is much for a sincere heart. Let’s keep looking for and falling deeper in love with Him.

Holly! Aren’t we blessed! This is the stuff of change and an easy yoke. Oh The things we won’t do for love.
Thank you Alisa for you post. I will definitely ask myself the three questions after reading God’s Word.
He loves the sound of your voice
